The R1-designated University of Maine's partnership with the UpStart Center of Entrepreneurship is a mutually beneficial relationship, and their MIRTA accelerator is a wonderful example of University spinout businesses transitioning into office or lab space.

The UpStart Center for Entrepreneurship’s sister organization, UpStart Maine, will bring startup businesses from across Maine to its signature Showcase on April 1, 5-7 p.m., at Husson University. The Showcase gives a chance for the startups’ founders to connect with supporters, customers, and community resources – collisions that can open new opportunities for both the businesses and attendees.
